THE PREPS : Lasorda to Speak at Awards Banquet

Dodger Manager Tommy Lasorda will be the keynote speaker at the seventh Faith, Family and Football awards night scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 13, at the Anaheim Marriott.

The banquet honors student-athletes from Catholic high schools throughout Southern California for their character, service, leadership, academics and athletic qualities.

Master of ceremonies for the awards night will be Craig Fertig, assistant athletic director in charge of fund-raising for USC. The group also will honor Father Lawrence Martin Jenco, a former American hostage in Beirut, and columnist John Hall of the Orange County Register.
