Kings Trade Ledyard to Capitals
The Kings announced Tuesday that they have obtained right wing Craig Laughlin from the Washington Capitals in a trade that sent defenseman Grant Ledyard to the Capitals.
Laughlin, 30, had 5 goals and 5 assists with the Capitals this season, playing only sparingly in 40 games.
In the best of his six seasons with the Capitals, he had 30 goals and 45 assists in the 1985-86 season.
Ledyard, obtained in a 1985 trade that also brought Rollie Melanson to the Kings, missed 33 games after injuring his left ankle in training camp. He had 1 goal and 7 assists in 23 games.
