Two of the Seattle SuperSonics’ wives who fought after Tuesday night’s victory over the Lakers in Seattle could be banned from the basketball arena.

Dan Fordice of the Seattle Police Dept. said he had received a misdemeanor complaint from Bobbie Jo Lister, wife of center Alton Lister, and a friend, Biernita Horton, against Monique Ellis, wife of guard Dale Ellis and her sister, Nadia Gordon. The complaint was sent to the city attorney’s office.

The fight occurred outside the Sonics’ locker room. The police report said Lister’s wife and her friend were kicked and scratched.

Club President Bob Whitsitt said he was awaiting advice from NBA officials on what action, if any, he should take. Both wives could be banned from future games, he said.

Monique Ellis said it was Horton who struck first, but Horton said she was trying to separate Bobbie Jo Lister and Gordon when Ellis kicked her in the right leg.
