Lakers Set to Test Knicks’ 13-Game Home Win Streak Tonight at Garden
The Lakers, who broke Dallas’ 11-game winning streak Sunday, will put the Knicks’ 13-game home-court winning streak to the test tonight at Madison Square Garden.
The Lakers beat the Knicks, 113-112, Jan. 22 at the Forum in a game dominated by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. The Laker center made six consecutive hook shots and scored a game-high 24 points.
Abdul-Jabbar got hot right after a bench clearing brawl in which Michael Cooper and A.C. Green of the Lakers and Pat Cummings of the Knicks were ejected. Cooper and Cummings were both suspended for one game and fined $5,000 and $2,500 respectively.
