Bobby Jung of Chatsworth cleared 13 feet in the pole vault on his final attempt to give the Chancellors a 64-63 victory over Granada Hills in a nonleague track meet Friday at Granada Hills.

Jung’s victory was worth 5 points and broke a 59-59 tie.

“The kid really came through,” Granada Hills Coach Mal Stock said. “If he misses that jump, we win the event and the meet.”

Jung’s effort capped a rally for Chatsworth (1-1), which was led by Ron Martin and Bryan Addison, who each won two events.
