THE PREPS : Roundup : Danny Yu Sweeps Sets, Valencia Tops Anaheim

Junior Danny Yu won his three sets as Valencia High School defeated Anaheim, 10-8, in an Orange League tennis match Friday at Pearson Park in Anaheim.
The victory moves Valencia (8-1, 5-0) into sole possession of first place.
Yu won, 6-1, 6-2, 6-0.
Nghia Vu of Anaheim won two of three sets, 6-1, 7-6, before losing to Yu, 6-2.
Anaheim is 7-1 overall and 4-1 in league play.
In another Orange League match:
Western 10, Brea-Olinda 8--Jack Wei won two of three sets, 1-6, 6-0, 6-0, to lead Western (3-7, 1-4) at Carbon Canyon Park. John Vajc won three matches, 6-1, 6-1, 6-2, for Brea-Olinda.
In the South Coast League:
San Clemente 10, Mission Viejo 8--Mark Ollivier swept his three sets, 6-1, 6-0, 6-1 to lead San Clemente at Mission Viejo.
In Garden Grove League volleyball:
Rancho Alamitos 3, Pacifica 0--Shawn Tangard had 14 kills to lead Rancho Alamitos to a 15-11, 15-6, 15-13 victory at Pacifica. Rancho Alamitos is 4-2 and 2-1.
