Orange County Football All-Star Game Nominations : Seven Sunny Hills Players Considered for North

Sunny Hills High School received the most nominations for the North team that will participate in the 29th Orange County All-Star football game scheduled for July 8 in Orange Coast College’s LeBard Stadium.

Seven Sunny Hills players were nominated for the squad, one more than were nominated from El Modena, Los Alamitos and Servite.

Among the players nominated for the team are Times All-County running backs Joaquin Garcia of Anaheim and Sean Cheatham of Rancho Alamitos, lineman Mike Linn of Esperanza, kicker Pat Blottiaux of Servite, wide receiver Mike Edwards of Valencia and linebacker Roger Roadstrom of Los Alamitos.

Co-coaches Carl Sweet of El Dorado and Pat Mahoney of Villa Park will select 35 players to compete in the charity game. Only three players from each school may be selected, with the exception of the players from the co-coaches’ teams.
