Fire swept through a house under construction and another next door Monday in Malibu after materials left at the construction site accidentally ignited, Los Angeles County fire officials said.
The blaze, in an exclusive area where several celebrities live, was confined to the two homes and was brought under control in 30 minutes.
Officials said the fire caused $100,000 damage to the house under construction and $400,000 damage to the house next door.
