Local News in Brief : Boxing Donations for Trust Fund
Promoters of a boxing event at the Forum on April 21 will donate some of the profits to a trust fund for the son of an Inglewood police officer slain March 31.
The Inglewood Police Department and Forum Boxing have announced that half of the profits from tickets bought in advance of April 19 at several Inglewood businesses will go to the Christopher Paul Aguilar Trust Fund.
Aguilar is the 3-year-old son of Sgt. George Aguilar, who was shot and killed while chasing robbery suspects last month.
The trust fund will receive proceeds from tickets bought at: the Inglewood/Airport Area Chamber of Commerce, 330 E. Queen St.; Max Dial Porsche, 817 N. La Brea Ave.; Peking Restaurant, 234 W. Manchester Blvd., and Wise Tire and Brake Co., 949 S. La Brea Ave.
