Associated Press

One person was reported dead and another injured after shooting erupted Sunday outside the Regency Cinema, where the controversial gang movie “Colors” was being shown.

Although police refused to immediately confirm any casualties from the shooting, KVOR-TV Channel 13 in Sacramento reported one person dead and another injured.

The movie opened nationwide April 15, but anticipated violence did not occur. Police and sheriff’s deputies have maintained a presence at theaters in Los Angeles and other places with known gangs during the screening of the movie.
