L.A. IN 25 YEARS
The sidebar “Smart Cars” left out a significant feature of the Los Angeles transportation system: motorcycle transit. It is now the most time- and fuel-efficient method of transport. Motorcycle manufacturers are currently applying the latest technological innovations to the engine, frame and instrumentation of their products. Motorcycles of the future will take up less room than cars do parked at a store, office, Metro Rail lot and in the residential parking space. In 25 years the motorcycle will be the commuting vehicle of choice for a significant number of residents.
