Body Found Near Rancho Bernardo
The body of a nude woman was discovered near Rancho Bernardo by a jogger early Sunday morning, the sheriff’s department reported.
The body was found by the runner at 6:45 a.m. along Black Mountain Road about 100 yards west of Via Del Campo, according to Sgt. Suzanne Hatcher.
Homicide detectives said the body had probably been dumped along the road several days ago after the woman had met her death at another location.
The victim appeared to be 18 to 25 years old, 5-foot-4 and 100 pounds, with brown, shoulder-length hair.
Detectives said that because of the body’s decomposed condition they could not speculate on the cause of death until after an autopsy scheduled for today.
