Dehesa
A brush fire that burned 30 acres near Dehesa on Thursday was the work of an unknown arsonist, authorities said.
The fire started about 11:17 a.m. in a rural area east of El Cajon, near the intersection of Dehesa Road and Sloane Canyon Road, said a spokeswoman for the California Department of Forestry. No one was injured and no structures were endangered by the blaze, which was contained by 1:45 p.m., according to the spokeswoman.
