Write Your Congressman!
As a Lake Sherwood resident, I am aware of the development pressure being put on our Santa Monica Mountains. I strongly believe we need to help preserve this priceless Southern California resource.
Fortunately, Rep. Elton Gallegly has proposed adding three important and sensitive areas of the mountains to the Santa Monica Mountains National Recreation Area. One of the most crucial is the parcel adjacent to the Paramount Ranch, where the Renaissance Pleasure Faire is now being held. Unless Congress goes along with Mr. Gallegly’s proposal, this beautiful area will soon be lost to development.
I feel we as residents of Ventura County and the San Fernando Valley should show our support by writing Congressman Gallegly to express our support for this plan.
