The star of an upcoming ice-skating show at Knott’s Berry Farm has broken her wrist, forcing organizers to hastily seek a substitute, the Buena Park amusement park announced Tuesday. Julie Watson, who with her partner Peter Oppegard won a Bronze medal at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary, Canada, fell during a performance Monday, and will be unable to skate again until mid-July, Knott’s spokesman Stuart A. Zanville said. Watson and Oppegard will be rescheduled appear before the show closes on Sept. 5, he said. “Knott’s Superstar Ice Spectacular” will open on Saturday as planned, Zanville said.
