City Bonds
In response to “L.A. Seeks Bond Issue to Pay for Fire Sprinklers,” in six city-owned buildings, Metro, May 25:
As a property owner affected by several recent ordinances requiring fire sprinkler installation, fire door and stairwell enclosures, and earthquake rehabilitation, I and the majority of private property owners have not benefitted from any city bond issues. When we needed money, the city didn’t help us. If the city now needs money, try cutting the fat out of the city budget. Don’t ask the taxpayers to foot the bill again.
