Lawyers for heavyweight champion Mike Tyson obtained a temporary restraining order barring Tyson’s manager, Bill Cayton, from receiving any money from Tyson’s 91-second knockout of Michael Spinks Monday night in Atlantic City, N.J.
The order, granted in New York Supreme Court, stands, pending a hearing Tuesday, and prevents Cayton from receiving any of the more than $21 million Tyson earned in the fight.
“There is our feeling that there was not full disclosure of all information” concerning Tyson’s finances, attorney Michael R. Winston said.
Cayton, under terms of the contract Tyson seeks to break, is due one-third of Tyson’s purse from the Spinks fight.
