Mid-Valley Coasts in AAU Tournament

The Valley representative at the Amateur Athletic Union Junior Olympics 12-and-under national basketball championship in Seattle is off to an impressive start, winning three games by a combined margin of 126 points.
ARC Mid-Valley trounced Washington, 98-35, Tuesday; routed Alabama, 80-37, Monday; and defeated Topeka, Kan., 73-53, Sunday to advance to the round of 16, which begins today.
Guard Cameron Murray led ARC Mid-Valley with 24 points against Topeka and 17 against Alabama. Forward Bernard Smith had 22 points and 9 rebounds against Washington. Guard Duane Curtis scored 34 points in the three games.
