Bart Starr said his son had a trace of cocaine in his system when he was found dead last week, the Milwaukee Journal reported.

Bret Starr, 24, was found Thursday in his home in a suburb of Tampa, Fla. Bart Starr, former quarterback and coach of the Green Bay Packers, found his son’s body when he peered through a back window after being unable to get into the house.

Starr told the Journal a medical examiner informed him the autopsy discovered a trace of cocaine in his son’s body.

“But we don’t know if the level was such that it could be the inducement,” Starr said by telephone from his mother’s home in Montgomery, Ala.

Preliminary autopsy reports ruled out foul play and authorities expect to receive toxicology results today or Tuesday, said Jack Espinosa of the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Dept.
