The Major Indoor Soccer League received a stay of execution, with owners agreeing to resume talks July 20 to decide the fate of the league, which has had five franchises drop out in the past two weeks.
Commissioner Bill Kentling held a series of meetings in the suburban Cleveland offices of Bart Wolstein, owner of the Cleveland Force. The St. Louis Steamers and Minnesota Strikers disbanded last month. Last Friday, the Tacoma Stars and the Chicago Sting folded.
