Running back Paul Palmer of the Kansas City Chiefs admitted that during his senior year at Temple he accepted monthly payments and a $5,000 loan from two sports agents now under federal investigation.
Palmer had previously said he signed a contract with agent Norby Walters before his college eligibility was up but did not say he had accepted money. Palmer said all the money has been paid back.
Walters and another agent, Lloyd Bloom, are under investigation by the U.S. attorney’s office in Chicago. The two are believed to have signed between 40 and 50 college athletes last year.
