Orlin Norris, 214, of Campo won a unanimous decision over Dwain Bonds, 210, of Quail Valley in a 12-round North American Boxing Federation heavyweight title bout Wednesday night at the Forum.

Norris went down in the fifth round but it appeared that he slipped, and the crowd jeered referee Dr. James Jen-Kin as he gave Norris the mandatory eight-count.

Norris, 19-1 with 9 knockouts, is scheduled to meet Evander Holyfield early next year, with the winner due to fight Mike Tyson later in 1989.
