Three members of last season’s University of Florida basketball team said federal authorities had questioned them in the last month in connection with a drug investigation, a newspaper reported.

Questioned were Vernon Maxwell, Patrick Aaron and Kenny McClary, the Palm Beach Post said.

The newspaper reported that sources within and close to the team said investigators were inquiring into whether players had used drugs and whether there were improprieties in the university’s drug-testing program.
