Shot at Channel 7 Was Out of Bounds
Larry Stewart’s column (July 22), “Channel 7 in Rough After Going With Oprah Over Golf,” angered me. He sounded like a disappointed child who didn’t get a promised lollipop on time.
Remember, not everybody is interested in viewing golf tournaments in the afternoon. If blame is to be put on something, it should be on the Nielsen ratings, which govern everything we see on TV.
In my opinion, the column was unfair and inappropriate. An apology to Channel 7, Don Corsini (who is only doing a job) and Tawny Little would be in order. Your remark about what happened between Dennis Swanson and Little several years ago had absolutely no bearing on the tournament.
