CBS’ New York flagship station WCBS-TV has bumped “USA Today: The Television Show” out of its fall evening lineup. The Washington Post reported that WCBS is moving the CBS Evening News with Dan Rather up to 6:30 p.m. and following with two game shows, “Win Lose or Draw” and “Wheel of Fortune.” “USA Today,” which was expecting a 7 p.m. slot if Rather’s show was moved up, is now scheduled to air at an insomniac 2:05 a.m. Ex-NBC producer Steve Friedman, executive producer of “USA Today,” said he is “understandably disappointed” with the early-morning time slot for his program in New York.
