Atlantic City (Channel 13 Sunday at 3 p.m.): For director Louis Malle and writer John Guare, Atlantic City is America’s Cinderella city, just saved from the pumpkin patch by the magic wand of legalized gambling. Malle and Guare tell the stories of the dreamers that the resort attracts as if they were fairy tales; the amusing, enchanting result is one of the key films of the ‘80s. Burt Lancaster and Susan Sarandon star. (2:00)

A Foreign Affair (Channel 5 Saturday at 3:30 a.m.): Vintage Billy Wilder, set in post-war Berlin and starring Marlene Dietrich as a singer with a shady past and Jean Arthur as a prim Iowa congressman on a junket. (2:00)

Too Late Blues (Channel 2 next Sunday at approximately 2:05 a.m.): Rarely seen early (1962) John Cassavetes film starring Bobby Darin and Stella Stevens and representing one of the film-maker’s few attempts to compromise with studio demands. Uneven but pungent. (2:10)
