Oklahoma State Receiver Doesn’t Remember Gift
Wide receiver Hart Lee Dykes of Oklahoma State told the Tulsa World he doesn’t remember receiving $5,000 when he signed with Oklahoma State, as is reportedly alleged by the National Collegiate Athletic Assn.
The paper said the NCAA alleges 100 $50 bills were delivered to Dykes’ Bay City, Tex., residence about the time he signed a letter of intent with the Cowboys.
The NCAA also alleges Dykes received a $17,000 car after his freshman year and received a $125 monthly allowance through his sophomore year, the newspaper said.
Dykes, asked whether the $5,000 was delivered to his home, said: “It doesn’t ring a bell to me. I don’t know where they’re getting their sources at.”
