Two late-night robberies of automated bank teller machine patrons were reported Tuesday.

Shortly after 10:30 p.m., a pedestrian was robbed at gunpoint by two men while attempting to use an ATM in the 6800 block of El Cajon Boulevard, San Diego police spokesman Dave Cohen said.

The robbers took a small amount of cash and fled in a bluish-gray Nissan, Cohen said.

A short time later, two men walking home after using an ATM at Felton Street and El Cajon Boulevard, less than 5 miles from the site of the earlier robbery, were approached by the two robbers, Cohen said.

The ATM patrons were walking to a residence in the 4000 block of McClintock Street when they were robbed at gunpoint, Cohen said.

The robbers, both said to be armed with large, high-caliber handguns, took a small amount of money from the men and fled in two vehicles, the spokesman said.
