Northridge Loss Ends Home-Field Soccer Streak
Seattle Pacific defeated Cal State Northridge, 2-0, in a nonconference soccer match at North Campus Stadium on Saturday. It was the Matadors’ first regular-season loss at home in 42 matches spanning almost five years.
Northridge (2-4) took only eight shots on goal in losing its second game in a row.
CSUN goalie Mike Gonzalez made six saves.
The Matadors were 36-0-5 in regular-season home matches since their last loss--to Cal Poly Pomona on Oct. 12, 1983.
