Michael Dokes, former World Boxing Assn. heavyweight champion, was arrested for allegedly beating up his girlfriend during a street fight in Southwest Los Angeles, Sheriff’s Dept. deputies said.
Deputies said Dokes was allegedly involved in an altercation with Michelle Woods, 30, who shares an apartment with him. Woods suffered six broken ribs and a possible broken jaw, Sgt. Bruce Pollack said.
Bail for Dokes, 30, was set at $5,000.
