El Monte : School Board Post Filled
The usually embattled El Monte City School District trustees agreed long enough last week to unanimously approve J. Sergio Bohon to fill the unexpired term of former board member Robert Camerota.
Bohon, who lives in El Monte and is a stock consultant for Dean Witter Reynolds Inc., will serve the remainder of Camerota’s term, which ends in November, 1989. Camerota resigned Aug. 2 when he moved out of the district.
The new appointee said solving contract problems between teachers and the administration and improving the quality of education will be his top priorities.
Other candidates for the seat included Ralph Gutierrez Sr., James W. Thomas Jr., Anthony R. Fellow, Emily A. Ishigaki and Luis Javier Ortiz.
