NFL owners gave unanimous, conditional approval to the sales of the New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks, and Commissioner Pete Rozelle said he expected the sales to become final within 10 days.
The Patriots were sold by team founder Billy Sullivan to New York businessman Victor Kiam, owner of Remington Products.
The Seahawks were sold by the Nordstrom family of Seattle to Kenneth Behring, a northern California land developer.
Terms of both sales were not disclosed, but the Seahawks reportedly were sold for $80 million.
