Local News in Brief : Anaheim : Fight for Gun at Party Results in Man’s Death
A fight at a bachelor party early Sunday left one man dead after two men struggled over a pistol and it discharged.
The bullet struck John E. Valle, 25, of Garden Grove in the neck, and he was declared dead at the scene, police said.
The other man in the fight, Keith Martin Roberts, 25, was arrested on suspicion of murder and held at Orange County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bail, Anaheim Police Lt. Bob Puckett said.
Police were called to Roberts’ home in the 200 block of West Winston Road after neighbors reported hearing a gunshot, Puckett said.
Police do not know why the men were fighting or whether the groom was present, he said.
