Local News in Brief : Fall From Freeway Overpass Kills Man
A man plunged to his death from a downtown Los Angeles overpass while struggling with a woman who had rejected his sexual advances, police said Monday.
The 31-year-old woman suffered scrapes and bruises while resisting the man but did not require hospitalization, Detective Rick Lane said.
The man and woman were struggling on the 4th Street overpass above Flower Street about 11:15 p.m. Sunday when the man, who was not immediately identified, lost his balance and fell over the railing 70 feet to his death, Lane said. Police termed the death accidental.
