Occidental Wins 2 Cross-Country Titles

Chris Tregillis and Michelle Trimble led Occidental College to victory in the Southern California Intercollegiate Athletic Conference cross-country championships at Castaic Lake on Saturday.
Tregillis narrowly defeated teammate Emmet Hogan to win the men’s individual title, clocking 25 minutes, 43.7 seconds over the 8,000-meter course. Hogan placed second in 25:43.9.
Occidental won the men’s team title with 22 points and Claremont finished second with 42.
Trimble won the women’s race with a 19:00 clocking over a 5,000-meter course, 3 seconds ahead of teammate Amy Cathcart.
Occidental defeated Claremont, 21-48, for the women’s team title.
