An anonymous tip has led to the arrest of a 24-year-old Santa Ana man suspected of being the hit-and-run driver who killed a pregnant woman, police said.

The arrest of Raul Alphonso Rios Gonzalez ended an intensive 2 1/2-week investigation begun after Jovita Sanchez, 25, a pregnant mother of three, was killed by a car Oct. 16 in the 1400 block of South Main Street, Santa Ana Police Investigator Jess Luna said.

Gonzalez was arrested Thursday without incident after leaving his Santa Ana residence in a car, Luna said.
