Franklin 21, North Hollywood 0--Brothers Lamont and Lamar Lovett helped undefeated Franklin successfully open defense of its 3-A title at L.A. Wilson High. Lamont carried 21 times for 163 yards and 2 touchdowns, and Lamar caught 2 passes for 22 yards and a touchdown.

Lamar Lovett caught a 15-yard pass from quarterback Santiago Alvarez for the game’s first score midway through the first quarter. Lamont Lovett’s scores came on a 1-yard run in the second quarter and a 27-yard dash in the third.
