Bell Gardens to Meet Claremont in Rematch

Undefeated Bell Gardens High School moves into the CIF Southern Section Division IV quarterfinals Friday night when it plays at home against Claremont.
The Lancers, 11-0, won their first-round game last week, 21-6, over Arlington. In their third game earlier in the season, Bell Gardens defeated Claremont, 20-13.
Six other Southeast/Long Beach teams have quarterfinal games at 7:30 p.m. Friday.
Division III--Dominguez, 10-1, which beat Katella, 21-7, in the first round, will play at El Modena, 6-5. Paramount, 9-1, a 26-14 winner over Hart last week, will play at Santa Ana, 8-3. And Schurr, 9-2, which upset Cerritos, 27-6, last week, will play Los Alamitos, 10-0-1, at Gahr High School.
Division IV--El Rancho, 9-2, will be host to 10-1 Northview. El Rancho won its first-round game against Wilson of Hacienda Heights, 27-6.
Division IX--Valley Christian, 10-1, which beat California School for the Deaf at Riverside, 69-6, will play at Tehachapi, 9-2. Whittier Christian, 9-2, a 41-6 victor over Marshall, will be at Desert, 10-1.
