Golden West’s Bryant Honored

Blaise Bryant of Golden West College, who set a single-season Orange County rushing record this fall, was voted the most valuable offensive player of the Mission Conference Central Division by the coaches.

Bryant, a sophomore running back from Cypress High School, rushed for 1,691 yards this season, including 330 against Riverside in his final game.

Steve Vaipulu, a linebacker from Riverside, was picked the defensive player of the year.

Fullerton, which won the division and conference titles, placed seven players on the first team offense and four on the first-team defense.
