In the Grossmont tournament:

Fullerton 73, Rancho Santiago 61--Darryl Griffin had 16 points and 11 rebounds and Jeoff Adams had 13 points and 15 rebounds to lead Fullerton (8-1) in the championship game at Grossmont College at El Cajon. Chris Martin had 15 points to lead the Dons (7-3).

In the Antelope Valley tournament:

Golden West 80, Santa Monica 79--Markus Muller-Stach hit a jump shot with 5 seconds left to give Golden West the victory in the championship game at Antelope Valley. Muller-Stach, a sophomore from Corona del Mar, had 21 points and was named the tournament’s most valuable player. Elbert Davis had 8 points and 13 assists to help Golden West (9-1).

In nonconference men’s basketball:

Cypress 85, Pomona-Pitzer JV 69--Andre Lamoureux scored 20 points, hitting 10 of 14 shots, to lead Cypress (3-3) at home. Freshman Wendall Lauderdale had 16 points in his first start and Jay Barrington added 13 for the Chargers.

In women’s basketball:

Fullerton 82, Merritt 56--Heidi Shikuma scored 17 points and teammate Kelly Johnson added 14 points as Fullerton advanced to the championship game of the Visalia tournament. Fullerton (9-0) will meet College of the Sequoias at 4 today in the title game.

Cypress 58, Orange Coast 44--Vicky Silva scored 30 points, had 8 rebounds and 10 steals to lead Cypress (5-4) in the consolation championship game of its own tournament.

In women’s volleyball:

Sabrina Dennis had 24 kills in two matches to lead Golden West to a 15-8, 15-5, 15-12, first-round victory over Diablo Valley, and a 15-13, 15-13, 15-8 second-round victory over Santa Monica in the state championship tournament.

Golden West (22-1), the state’s top-ranked team, will play fourth-ranked Santa Rosa in a semifinal game today at 11:30 a.m.
