Rodriguez Places Third in Cross-Country Meet

Jimmy Rodriguez, a senior at Santa Ana Valley High School, placed third in the Kinney Western Regional cross-country championships Saturday at Woodward Park in Fresno.
Francis O’Neill of Escondido San Pasqual won the race in 14 minutes 56 seconds, with Bryan Dameworth of Agoura second in 14:58. Rodriguez finished in 15:00. Corona del Mar’s Eddie Lavelle was 14th in 15:23.
The top eight finishers advance to the Kinney national championships Saturday at San Diego’s Balboa Park.
