College Roundup : Fullerton Wrestlers Lose to Oregon
Cal State Fullerton lost 7 decisions as Oregon defeated the Titans, 22-10, in a Pacific 10 wrestling match Monday in Titan Gym.
Fullerton’s Erin Millsap won a 7-4 decision over Dan Vidlak at 118 pounds to open the match, but Fullerton lost the next 4 matches. Fullerton broke the streak when Martin Armendarez scored a 12-4 decision over Mike Carpenter at 158 pounds.
Fullerton (3-5 overall and 2-2 in the Pac-10) then lost the next 3 matches before heavyweight David Jones defeated James Knott, 5-3. Jones (16-3-1) has Fullerton’s best record and is ranked No. 9 in the nation.
Oregon is 5-0, 3-0.
In nonconference men’s basketball:
Fresno Pacific 63, Chapman 46--Bryan Richetto was the only Chapman player in double figures with 11 points as the Panthers (7-4) lost at Fresno.
