Loyola Women Topple Denver Cage Club

DENVER — The Loyola Marymount women’s basketball team won its second game in three tries on a Rocky Mountain road trip, defeating Metropolitan State on Thursday night, 83-76.
The Lions, 8-4, led at halftime, 45-32, and stretched the lead to 20 points in the second half. Guard Lynn Flanagan led the attack with 20 points, hitting 6 of 10 shots from the field and all 8 free throws.
Forward Regan O’Hara added 8 points, 10 rebounds and 7 assists. Forward Joelle Longobardi had 14 points and 7 rebounds and guard Kristen Bruich chipped in 7 points and 5 assists.
The Lions play at Colorado State tonight and finish their trip Sunday afternoon at Wyoming.
