College Roundup : UCI Women Defeat Pepperdine, 82-61

Jenny Lee scored a career-high 19 points and Kathy Lizarraga had 18 to lead UC Irvine to an 82-61 victory over Pepperdine Tuesday in a women’s nonconference basketball game at UC Irvine.

Natasha Parks added 13 points and 9 rebounds for Irvine (4-9). Pepperdine’s April Marion, a senior from Golden West College, had 12. Pepperdine is 5-9.

Cal State Fullerton 26, Utah State 17--Heavyweight David Jones pinned Wade Brown for Fullerton at Logan, Utah. Rein Millsap (118), Shawn Dreitzler (134), Cody Brown (142), Scott Schumm (150), Ramon Diaz (177), and James Flores (190) also won for Fullerton (6-5), which has won 3 matches in a row. Fullerton faces Brigham Young at 5 tonight in Provo, Utah.
