An El Cajon man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of sexually molesting a 9-year-old girl, authorities said.
Lloyd Darnell Randolph, 45, of the 1300 block of East Main Street, was helping friends move out of an apartment on Avocado Avenue when they asked him to stay with their daughter while she slept, El Cajon police said.
While the parents moved some belongings, Randolph allegedly sexually molested the girl, awakening her, police said. When the parents returned, the girl told them what happened and the parents called them, police said.
Randolph was arrested at the Avocado Avenue apartment without incident, a police spokesman said. He was being held Wednesday at San Diego County Jail, in lieu of $25,000 bail.
