In another men’s game:

Moorpark 77, Bakersfield 76 (OT)--Steve Murphy hit an 8-foot jump shot with 13 seconds left in overtime to lift the Raiders in the Western State Conference game at Bakersfield.

Bakersfield missed its last shot after Murphy’s jumper and Greg Taylor grabbed the rebound for Moorpark.

Adel Merrza, who scored 22 points for Bakersfield (2-19, 0-8), made an 18-foot jump shot with 4 seconds left in regulation to send the game into overtime.

Bruce Watson had 18 points to lead the Raiders (13-10, 4-3).

Taylor and Roger Thomas each added 14 points and Murphy had 12 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists.

WOMEN

Valley 96, Oxnard 38--All 13 players scored for host Valley in the WSC game as the Monarchs pounded Oxnard for the second time this season.

Valley defeated Oxnard, 96-40, during the Riverside tournament in December.

Tisa Rush led Valley (21-3, 6-1) with 17 points and 5 assists. Sandrine Rocher scored 14 points and had 10 rebounds.

The Monarchs, who have won 4 consecutive league games and 16 of the past 17, made 44 of 77 shots (57%) from the field and outrebounded Oxnard, 45-17.
