Top entertainers on Sunday launched Britain’s second Comic Relief Day campaign and predicted that 7 million people will don red noses on March 10 in a day of national silliness to help raise millions for charity. Organizers hope the campaign will top the $28 million raised last year. Rubber-faced comedian Rowan Atkinson appeared at London’s Criterion Theater for the launch wearing a Comic Relief sweat shirt, T-shirt, headgear and boxer shorts, which are being sold through a clothing store chain as part of the charity’s fund-raising activities. Comedian Stephen Fry said Red Nose Day 2 was intended to be enjoyable but to have a serious side, which would help people.
