Starlites Score Win in Volleyball Opener
Dale Hall had eight kills, eight blocks and 12 digs to lead the Los Angeles Starlites to a 15-2, 15-11, 15-9 Major League Volleyball victory over the Portland Spikes Friday night before an announced crowd of 1,528 at UC Irvine’s Bren Center.
In the season-opening match for both teams, the Starlites gained control early, taking a 9-0 lead in the first game and cruising to the win.
Portland held leads of 3-0 in the second game and 5-0 in the third but failed to hold either.
