Denny Stolz, fired as San Diego State football coach in November, will remain at the school as the men’s golf coach, the school said in a news release. Stolz won the school’s only Western Athletic Conference football title in 1986, his first as Aztec coach. But his next two Aztec teams finished 5-7 and 3-8, and he was fired with one game remaining in the 1988 season.
