West Hollywood : Health Care Plan Studied

Share

The city is studying a pilot project to provide day care for the frail elderly, AIDS patients and people with other diseases.

Other day care centers that provide health care are open to the frail elderly only. The West Hollywood center would be among the first to provide care for AIDS patients and adults with other disabilities, said Perri Sloane, the city’s Senior Services Program specialist.

The City Council agreed to contribute $75,000 to $100,000 to the project, contingent upon sufficient funding from outside sources. Sloane said the city is seeking state funding. The start-up cost, Sloane said, would be about $450,000.
